Medical ID
One of the most important things to remember when keeping safe with type 1 diabetes is to make sure that others around you can quickly and easily find out that you have type 1 in the event that you need help and can't tell them yourself. The easiest way to do this is to use a medical ID. Many of today's cellphones have features that allow you to enter information about any conditions you may have as well as allergies, emergency contacts, and medications. Although phones are a great place to have a medical ID, the more that you have, the more likely paramedics or medical personnel will be able to find your condition quickly and render faster and more effective medical care. Below are some pre-made medical IDs in many different colors and designs. All you have to do is pick your favorite, fill in your personal information (legibly, please!), print and fold. Each medical ID is sized to fit in a standard wallet pouch. If you don't see the color that you like or would prefer a different design/layout, please suggest a new design or color through the Suggest New Content system located under the Information tab.

Printable Medical IDs
To properly use this medical ID format, print the page that contains the color of your choice (make sure it prints single-sided). If you do not have access to a color printer, then print the second page, as it contains an all black and white option. Cut out your choice of card, fill in your information, and fold the card along the dotted line so that you can see both printed sides of the card when folded.
